NEWS : Amarnaath Yaatraa
The Amarnath Yatra Has Begun
In Jammu and Kashmir, the annual Amarnath Yatra began
this morning with the departure of about 600 heavy and
small vehicles from Jammu.
Elaborate security and other arrangements have been
made for the Yatra.
Meanwhile, the Governor, Gen. K. V. Krishna Rao
yesterday visited Shri Amarnath cave, alongwith the
Advisor (Home) Lt. Gen. D. D. Saklani to take stock of
all arrangements including security.
More vehicles are joining the Yatra on the way at
Nagrota, Katra and Udhampur till reports last came in.
