Well, I read one in English that I thought was pretty good. It's
J.A.B. van Buitenen's translation and it's called:
The Bhagavadgita in the Mahabharata
It's a pure translation(diacritic Sanskrit on the left page,
English on the right), with synopsis and commentary at the beginning. All
of the commentary is scholarly(that is, it doesn't prefer certain beliefs
that different audiences may have).....I think that it, therefore, allows
one to read it unbiased and draw one's own conclusions from it.

PS Concerning the billions of people that post here.....it's time
to come out of hibernation! I mean, seriously, why is this
newsgroup SOOOOOOOO SLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW?? Maybe an
explicit alt.religion.hinduism would get more subscribers?
I know that this newsgroup was hard to find; and I think it's
moderated.
