To include Dr. Ambedkar in a list of low-caste "Hindus" is indeed
comical on your part! Ambedkar died claiming that he was no longer
a Hindu, that he had converted to Buddhism. I am certain he would
have been throughly insulted had he been alive to see this article.
Ostensibly, the purpose of such a posting is to talk about the
'equal opportunity' of the "Hindu" religion and society. Ambedkar
never felt equal as a Hindu and wished to rid himself of the
shackles of the term and its institutions.
Further, nearly half of the names cited are mythological characters.
Even if they were historical, I doubt if they would have ever identified
with the term "Hindu" or the notion of being "Hindu".
