There is no ascii representation of Devanagari.  However there is a 
recently adopted world standard called unicode which represents all the 
languages of the world.  It is available as two thick volumes, though 
probably only at bookshops that specialize in computers.  So far I think 
it has only been implemented in Windows NT and some versions of Unix.
