Re: gurus, avatars, etc.

In addition to Mother Meera, I would suggest you inquire about Gurumayi
Chidvilasananda and / or Amritanandamayi. I have had darshan from both of
these individuals and feel eternally blessed. They both travel between India
and the US (and other foreign countries) on a regular basis. I consider
Gurumayi, to be my Guru. Prior to Gurumayi, I had the honor of having spent
time with her Guru, Baba Muktananda (whom gave me my name). He took Samadhi
on the full moon of October in 1992. His shrine, and Gurumayi's Ashram are
located just outside the small village of Ganeshpuri (which is less than a
days journey north of Bombay). In Ganeshpuri is the Samadhi shrine of
Muktananda's Guru, Nityananda. (While I did not meet Nityananda, I have the
darshan of his shrine and felt equally blessed).
If you would like more info, please send me an email.
I also know people who have meet both Gurumayi and Mother (Amritanandamayi)
and felt 'nothing' and were unmoved. So who is to say, which Guru is for
you, if in fact you want one...
