If you are actually interested in flame-free discussion, then you should
probably try to replace/reform the moderator. Otherwise, nominate someone
like Anand Hudli to lead the discussions rather than someone who refers
to his opponents as "completely ignorant" or to one who speaks of
a major Vaisnava philosophy as one of the cruelest jokes perpetrated in
Vedanta. If you truly want a disinterested & impartial party, then ask
Anand Hudli. ( I readily admit to being non-disinterested and non-impartial,
[not that I see any inherent merits in either of the above]
but I'm sure nobody was going to ask me to lead anyway :> ).
However, readership will probably drop if there are no confrontations. So the
final result will be that fewer people will get genuinely interested in
following the insights of any one particular philosophy, and you will just
get stuck in a neverending round-table Hindu quagmire with only the interested
members participating while the rest skip to the newest activities by our
friends of HSC at Blah University, as they have a Diwali camping trip or
whatever other funfunfun activities they do these days :)
