No. I feel that in a place and time every one should have the right to
live where they wish as they wish. All kinds of people and religions
have come to India and lived there. By pronouncing India a hindu state
we shall turn almost 15 to 20 percent of the population into either
stateless population or people who do not feel a part of India.
This would be a very undesirable situation. Also it will make a mockery
of Indian stand on Kashmir, shall we hand it over to Pakistan? If you
treat all religions the same, as hinduism does let everyone follow his
own god and path you will not gain anything but turn muslims living in
India against the country for no gain. It will also prove Jinnah right
for insisting on having a separate Pakistan for muslims of the
subcontinent. Even Bhindravale will gain in stature in Punjab and you
will also have to grant Khalistan.
If Hindus of India are willing to give up the above, We may consider the
hindu rashtra.
