There is no real possibility of love in the material world, because real
love should be both selfless and eternal, whereas so-called love, whether
it is in a homosexual or heterosexual relationship, is neither of these.
So called love in the material world is better known as lust because it
is the desire for one's own sense gratification... the desire to exploit
someone else. And no relationship can be eternal in the material world
because everyone has to die at some point.
Therefore, the only real love is love of God, something which I hope to
achieve someday.
This is not to say that people should not get married. The sex desire is
difficult to control, and that is why it is acceptable in sastra to
harness it for the procreative function. In this way, no karmic reaction
will result, so long as the child is brought up as a devotee.
