My two cents:
Cannot agree with the last sentence! The child is born to a chosen set of parents
precisely because of a karmic relationship. This fact is not altered whether or not
the child is brought up as a devotee. The latter is up to the child and the childs's
previous samskaras in addition to God's grace.
