at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor during Summer 1995.
The University of Michigan International Institute is now planning to
inaugurate a South Asia Summer Language Program. Intensive courses in
Hindi, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, and Tamil are being
considered for 1995. The particular languages to be offered as well as the
levels of instruction in each language will depend on adequate enrollment.
Each course will be the equivalent of one year of college-level instruction,
carrying 6-8 hours of U. of Michigan credit. The courses will be taught
during the Summer Term, June 28 to August 18, by Michigan faculty and
other experienced language teachers.
