Hi Kant,
I don't know much about Hinduism but i do know about the bible. I wasn't
aware that women were called "the left portion of the body" in the bible.
do you have a scripture reference for this? the only thing i know of is
that in the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis, Eve is named "woman" because
she was (supposedly) taken from the man, from Adam's rib specifically. I
don't think it has any reference to whether it was a rib from the right
or the left side.
