My understandingfrom the Geeta is that it is for the individual to
gather all the facts at his disposal and determine what is good and
what is bad. Life and afterlife is based on the choices one makes.
An ignorant or misled person (and who among us is not one of these at
one time or another) will obviously make wrong choices at times. If we
did not make such wrong choices in our previous lives, we would not be
here today. This life is to make amends for them and perhaps win over
the cycle of birth and death.
