Greetings!
I was at Crater Lake, Oregon during the Memorial Day weekend. The
simply beautiful lake evoked in me, memories of Lake Manasarovar,
mentioned many times in Hindu/Vedic literature. I know that the lake is
in present day China (Tibet?) and access to the lake may be restricted
to Indians.
Does anybody have any information on where exactly the lake is located,
and how one could get there? Is it possible for an Indian (possibly
with a US passport) to get there? Has anybody been there after the
Chinese annexure of Tibet? Does India have any agreement with the
Chinese government about Indians visiting this or other places in China
of religious interest to Hindus?
Any information will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance...
