Question on abortion and euthanasia
Namaste, friends. Several Catholics here at Notre Dame asked me the
other day the Hindu view on abortion and euthanasia. The answer I gave
was somewhat in haste, and I gave them two views: one, an orthodox view
and another, a more modern cultural/socio-economic view. In Advaita
philosophy and referring to the modern Sankaracharyas what would be the
view on these two topics?
NOTE: I am purposely not revealing what I said so that I could get
unadulterated opinions/analysis.
Please cite to scripture or teachings of Sankara if possible.,
