Is it possible for people of all religions and beliefs to come together
to discuss their beliefs without resorting to insults, profanity,
booting, banning, berating or otherwise using force to discuss their
religion? I would like to find out. I would like to propose that a new
channel on irc be formed. The purpose of this channel will be to attempt
to understand each others differences, dispell the myths and
misconceptions which may be held by followers of other religions, and
promote harmony between all people, regardless of their religion.
In addition to Christians (regardless of denomination - whether catholic
or protestant or whatever) I hope that Jewish (orthodox or otherwise),
Hindu's, Buddhists, Muslims, followers of Islam, Krishna's, Pagan's,
Wiccan's, Spiritualists and all other beliefs are represented in this
historic attempt to improve our understanding and acceptance of each
other as human beings.
If you are interested in participating in this cybersapace attempt at
understanding each other, please drop me a line to let me know. If you
feel that the idea of promoting understanding and peace in this manner
has merit, please repost this message in all newsgroups you feel
appropriate.
