2nd uic hsc meet.
HSC at UIC just had its 2nd meeting of the semester.
Sampath Bhoopalam was gracious enough to speak to a group of about 21 or so abo
ut the roots of hindu dharma in america. he explained how swami vivekananda fir
st came to the worlk parliament of religions and educated the west. he also wen
t over the popularity of meditation and where hindus in america have to look fo
rward to in the future.
We are also taking along a few students to champaign for gandhi day there. we h
ope its a great success and many people have a chance to participate...
