Dear Erin Rado:

I am curious about your remark saying that you 'know a great deal'.

For Hindus, Goddesses are merely manifestations of the one God. In the
Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna does not even mention any Goddess and
calls the Mother principle as 'Mahadbrahma' as:

Mama yonirmahadbrahma tasmin garbham dadhAmyaham.
sambhavah sarvabhutAnAm tato bhavati bhArata. SBG 14.3.

( I impregnate my femaleness called 'Mahadbrahma'; and from there,
o descendant of Bharat, is born all creation.)

If you'd read Sri Aurobindo's booklet called, "Mother", you will have a
better understanding of the Hindu 'Goddesses'.

Regards,

Dhruba.
