Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

I would be appreciative if any readers of this group could supply me
with information or point me to sources about the early public years of
Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh in India.
BSR was a controversial figure but I would be interested in sources
which might report his early years (say, 1963-1970) objectively without
taking a particular stance for or against Rajneesh. Journalism (if such
exists) that takes a sociological view of the early years would be ideal.
The early years interest me because this was the period when Bhagwan
was just beginning to issue his invitation to meditation, while he was
"going to the people" -- before he went the route of sannyas and ashram,
with all of their attendant difficulties. Certainly "the movement", and
Bhagwan himself, must of necessity been somewhat different during this
period than the later period of developing commune and centrally-located
seat of discipleship with which he became identified by press and public.
I am the happy owner of two or three books by Rajneesh from this early
period (e.g., A Cup of Tea)... however, these titles are *by* Bhagwan and
thus not descriptive of him from an observer's viewpoint. The later
books by Bhagwan date from the sannyas/ahsram period and thus are not
relevant to my search for early non-commune material.
So... if anyone in this group would have the kindness to share their
personal experiences, reminiscences, or knowledge of early reportage of
Bhagwan, I would be most grateful to hear of it. Thanks in advance for
any information.
