It is indeed nonsense. The verse seems to refer to the tenth incarnation
of Vishnu (called Kalki).

am I directly connected with classical Vaishnava tradition]
There is nothing there that can be interpreted as 'Son Of God'. The
word yas'aaso (sic?) seems badly transliterated or interpolated. The
only thing it's close to "yashaso", meaning "famed". I must check this
verse as soon as I can get a copy of the Bhaagavatam handy.
Hindu cosmology is cyclic, and divides time into four Yugas (eons),
called krita, treta, dvapara, and kali. After kali yuga, the
universe is believed to be destroyed and recreated. Kalki is an
incarnation of Vishnu whom many Hindus expect as a sort of 'final'
destroyer of evil. He is a destroyer, not a messiah, so the two
legends aren't really connected.
