SRH Reorganiztion Bias: Low Activity/Delays in Posting

Yes, this is one of the reasons I would point out. I believe
that having multiple moderators can only be a good thing.

Perhaps this is true _now_, but historically, this has
not been the case. I believe that the information available
at http://www-ece/~vijaypai/srh-stats.html will indicate that
the moderation frequency has increased _significantly_ since
the reorg RFD was sent to you.

This is all the more reason to have multiple moderators - one
site's failure should not hold the newsgroup hostage. If one
person's hardware fails, the other can take over.

All of these are good reasons to have multiple moderators.

Just as an example, Rice has about 5 Sikhs and about 100+ Hindus.
I imagine that the numbers at other places are about the same. If
this has any impact on traffic, I would imagine that SRS having
fewer than 700 posts is not surprising.
|> Soc.religion.eastern has very few postings, and
SRE has definitely lost a lot of people to other groups, as
other groups got created. Remember, there was a time when SRE
was the only place in SR* to discuss things like Hinduism, etc.

SRV is an example of what happens when moderation delays don't
interfere with people's postings. You'll often see people make
several posts over a few days, rather than several posts in the
course of a month.

Please take a look at the stats page I mentioned.

Let's not be too quick to point fingers - after all, your comment
about clearing posts 4-6 times a week doesn't seem to be supported
by your own archives.
