Namaste!  The 4,320,000 figure is derived from the SOORY(A) SIDDHANT
in this mannner, roughly translated:
     Adhyaaye 1, Shloke 13: . . . Twelve months make a year . . .
this is called a Year of the Gods.
     Adhyaaye 1, Shloke 14: Six times sixty are a year of the Gods.
     Adhyaaye 1, Shloke 15: Twelve thousand of these Divine Years
are a Chaturyug of ten thousans times four hundred and thirty-two
solar years.
     We have from Shloke 13, above: A Day of the Gods is 1 year.
Shloke 14 tells us that there are 360 years in a Year of the Gods.
According to Shloke 15 a Chaturyug, or quadruple year, is 12,000
multiplied by 360 -- 4,320,000 years.  Additionally, the second
part of this Shloke informs us that 10,000 multiplied by 432 equals
4,320,000 years.  More verses tell us about the dawn and twilight
years - I have constructed the following table which attempts to
present the a total picture of the ages:
