Please be more careful when stating the claims of others - I said that
because of the long delays (not the incompetency of the SRH moderator)
the discussion either diminished, or went to other newsgroups,
including SCI. It also has gone (in the past) to groups like SRE, etc.
It's not all that uncommon to find people replying to SRH articles on
SCI, and other people have also confirmed my claim that the long
delays dampened discussion.
See for yourself - since the RFD, Ajay has been clearing posts every
day or two, and even when you factor out the RFD discussion, the number
of posts now on SRH is higher than the number of posts before the RFD
was sent.
This seems to confirm the contention that the long delays were one of
the contributing factors to the lower-than-expected traffic. More
moderators, as the reorg RFD implements, would help make sure that
these long delays don't occur again. That would definitely help SRH.
