REQUEST : Partholan, Indian & Celtic?

Excuse me if this is off-topic to your newsgroup.

I am a Celt of the Clan MacFarlane, which means son or
children of Partholan.

Partholan, to a Celt, is one of the founders of Ireland
and/or the British Isles.

Indian Partholan:
I just found a citation through www.NlightN.com and the Library
of Congress (USA) of a listing that indicates a Microfiche in
the Library of Congress, of a book of Dhanraj Singh entitled
"Partholan, Sargon Arjuna, the maker of civilization, 3180-3102 BC,
microform = Parthaulvana."

This apparently is part of the wonderful Mahabharata.

Celtic Partholan:
Approximately 1600 AD, Christian Monks published the "Annals
of the Kingdom of Ireland." Apparently, this was a combination
of verbal history of Celts and "christianization" (alterations
necessitated by then politics or religion).

"The age of the world when Parthalon came into Ireland, 2520
[christianized to conform to the Bible, Noah and the Flood]years.
These were the chieftains who were with him: Slaigne, Laighlinne,
and Rudhraidhe, his three sons; Dealgnat, Nerbha, Ciochbha, and
Cerbnad, their four wives."

Partholan, and further events concerning the life and times of
Partholan, are mentioned in most all books and references to
Celtic / Gaelic Mythology and Legends.
In particular, Celtic Mythology and Legends, by T.W. Rolleston,
reprinted by Dover Press, New York, 1990, ISBN 0-486-26507-2,
is a particular good reference about Celtic Partholan.

Questions:
I would like to know more about Partholan of the Mahabharata.
I was unable to find anything on the Internet.
Are there standard reference works about Partholan in the US
(and in English).
Are the Indian and Celtic Partholan related or the same?
Any other comments.
Do you need more information about the Celtic Partholan?

Thank you in advance for any help in this matter.

Apology:
Please understand that I do not mean any disrespect to Partholan
or anybody's deeply felt religious beliefs.
Celtic Partholan is a titan, but not a deity to most Celts.
I apologize if anything of the above is disrespectful or
flippant.

Thank you,
Lowell McFarland mcfarlan@nai.net
