You are cordially invited to participate in the celebration of Vijay Dashami.
This day symbolizes the victory of good forces over evil. This also reminds
us of the way to victory by invoking the goddess of strength (Durga),
goddess of wealth(Lakshmi) and the goddess of knowledge (Saraswati) during
the nine days preceding Vijay Dashami (Nav Ratri).
The program will include shlokas, songs and a brief talk about the
significance of Vijaya Dashami. Bal-Vihar children will present songs and
shlokas. They will also perform a skit - "Mahishaasura Mardini".
Date : Saturday,Oct 19, 1996.
Time : 5:30pm - 7:00pm

1. San Jose side : 880 North - Fremont Blvd exit - Continue on Freemont
Blvd towards north - crossing Auto Mall Express Way junction - first right
is Delaware Street - Continue on that to take T-junction - Temple is on the
right. ( It was a church, so look for church shape. )
2. Sunnyvale, Santaclara side - Take 880 north, may be by taking High Way
237 on 101. Rest is as above.
3. Redwood City, Foster City side - Take 880 south, from 84 east on 101 south
-take Automal Express Way east exit - continue to take Freemont Blvd junction
- turn left to Freemont Blvd north - the first right is Delaware street. Rest
is as given in (1).
4. Hayward, Oakland side - Take 880 south, and rest is as given in (3)
