In other words, using common sense we may consider that since
spiritual life is difficult enough as it is, Lord Krsna would
hardly try to make it more abstruse than necessary by employing
all kinds of complex and elliptical statements. He was speaking
to Arjuna and other householders, such as we ourselves are, and
if we try to hear as submissively as Arjuna did, we may see that
the Gita's message is really very simple, though not always easy
for us to apply. Considering the context in which Krsna speaks
allows us to better understand Him.
