REQUEST : Diwali Date
Namaskar,
I was searching through the Internet, and I noticed different Temples
and organizations in the US celebrate Diwali on three different
nights:
- Saturday night
- Sunday night
- Monday night
I'm referring to the night of the main celebration with fireworks,
lamps, etc.
I thought perhaps any Vedic Astrologers out there might be able to
shed some light on why different groups have different days for such a
prominent holiday.
For example, it is hard to imagine anyone in the US celebrating
Christmas on different days!
Again, I'm not referring to different aspects of the celebration, but
rather than the main night of the celebration.
