Frankly, if one is not convinced about vedaanta, then it is not just miimaansaa
whose study is essential, there are a whole lot of things. But after reading
Srimad Bhagavad giitaa, one needs no further elaboration on what is vedaanta
and how to attain it. Just by the indications in bhagavad giitaa as to what
leads to the goal envisaged in it (and vedaanta), bhaagavatam qualifies as the
most appropriate means for attaining the same.
vedaish ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedaanta krd veda vid eva caaham
mac citta mad gata praanaa
bodhayanta parasparam
kathayantash ca maam nityam
tushyanti ca ramanti ca
teshaam satata yuktaanaam
bhajataam priiti puurvakam
dadaami buddhi yogam tam
yena maam upayanti te
Yes it is that simple.
