What I meant is, if you tell an advaitin that he is opposed to bhakti, he
will deny it and will not understand why we say such a thing. In fact, they
have no problem with a person going through the motions of devotional
service, but they say that such a thing leads to realization of impersonal
oneness eventually. So, they do have a place for bhakti in their
philosophy, but it is only for a very misguided conception of bhakti,
seeing as how it is merely a means to an end for them.
