Dear Prewienji:
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Please do ask your questions.
A Self-realized person is Sthita-prajna, that is, one who is not
flustered by the happenings around him, he is neither elated by happy
events, nor saddened by unhappy events. To advise him not to worry is
redundant.

: Arjuna is Self-Realized..So ? then he "understands"..so whe shouldn't talk or
: comfort such people, just because they are self-realized ?
Prewienji, I do not know, what would be the right answer to this. I
could however, share with you what I feel about this. The Srimad
Bhagavad Gita might have been different if it were told to Yudhishthira,
instead of Arjuna.
As you read the SBG, you will discover something about the way the SBG
is. It is unique among Upanishads in being so Samkhya-like
(analytical). The other upanishads of the prasthAna-trayi are not like the
SBG in this sense, the Self-realized Rishis generally used the yogic
approach of discourse.
Sri Krishna gave Arjuna the final lesson of Samkhya, bringing it up to
unite with yoga in the SBG. Although it is emphasized everywhere that
God-realization can not be done with a rational (analytical) analysis,
but the mind must be emptied for Divine consciouness to pour in, Sri Krishna
used rational analysis to a great length in the SBG, elevating the
level of discourse for Arjuna and for posterity. This allowed Arjuna to
ask all those wonderful questions.
Perhaps, if Sri Krishna were to speak to a Self-realized person, He would
have talked mostly on a yogic level.
With best regards,
Dhruba.
