That's also in the description of Kali Yuga in the Twelfth Canto of
the Bhaagavatam -- that people will think that pilgrimage requires you
to go a long way away. Also that people will go to pilgrimage sites
just to take a bath in some sacred river, rather than to associate
with devotees and learn about transcendental subjects.

After Vidura returned from his pilgrimage, in which he learned about
spiritual sciences from Maitreya Rishi, Maharaja Yudhisthira glorified
him with these words

bhavad vidha bhagavatas
tiirtha-bhuuta svayam vibho
tiirthi kurvanti tiirthani
svaantha-sthena gadaa-bhRta

-- roughly, that those pure devotees who carry the Lord in their hearts
are themselves places of pilgrimage personified, and their presence makes
all places spiritual.
