Well, then I should provide a little context. Jay Stevens didn't
really do any independent thought or research to come up with that
information, and that's not entirely surprising.

That entire debate took place on alt.support.ex-cult, when a Christian
leader-type person was basically trying to state more than he knew.
He provided the reference that Jay quoted.

If you really want to look at that debate, which lasted for about
2 weeks, if I recall, please search the archives of alt.support.ex-cult.
The discussion is far broader and deeper than what Jay Stevens might
lead you to believe.
