Thanks for the clarification Bon Giovanni. I also saw the post by Dr Jai Maharaj
giving some more details about this issue. The point ofcourse is that many of
the details given in various puraaNas (even the uhmm, saatvic ones) about the
distances to the moon, size of the earth etc are grossly wrong. Of course if
one realizes that these are just artha vada and not meant for extended debate,
then grossly silly assertions like "astronauts never went to the moon" wouldn't
be made.
It's interesting to note that some of the hardcore Native-American groups claim
exactly the same thing viz, the American government created a story that these
guys went to the moon, and actually give the location where the moon landing
shots were supposedly filmed. Unfortunately I have forgotten the details.

I am sorry, but what is ase-c?

Uhmm, reminds me of a similar thing which happened to one of my posts.

Quite an achievement on Eric's part I'd say! But, does he belong to a pedigree
lineage from the Padma puraaNa, or is he from some mongrel parampara? It's also
extremely important to know if he is first class devotee or not.

I must say this has piqued my curiosity and I am actually willing to shell out
my hard earned cash to buy a copy of this cosmography book. Eric has also given
page numbers where the author of this book suggests that the moon landing must
have been a hoax. I'd definitely like to verify that. Any one know where I can
buy this book and how much it costs? It promises to be interesting reading.
Ramakrishnan.

Everything is a concoction of time, space and energy only and all else is the
trite talk of people who dislike the effort of sadhana which takes them to the
Self. This talk is based on their dense ignorance of the Self. Only by persis-
tent practice and experience of sadhana can one arrive at the truth that all
concepts of souls, world and the cause thereof are just evanescent shadows in
the screen of Siva-Self-Brahman.
