Thuggery was officially banned by the British some time in the 1800's

Too many, unfortunately :-) Saddam Hussein, Muammar Giddafi,
Carlos the Jackal, Manuel Noriega ..... (sorry I couldnt resisit).
Seriously, I have not heard of any surviving members of the Thug tribe
that practise thuggery as a way of life. Well OK, if some of these
folks are thugs then it is co-incidental and not because they
are thugs by birth (well, if that sounds confusing, you know what I
mean).
