While this is true in most cases, it has been avoided succesfully by
quite a few of the more ancient organizations, I think. The important
thing is to select precisely those people to be heads of the
organization, who are not intrinsically attracted to the mundane power
that such headship grants. This is the principle on which the advaita
mathas, at least the good ones, operate.
