Well stated. The contributions of women to our Vedas have been tremendous,
and highly understated and underrepresented.
I only wish that abortion would have been more focussed upon in the manifesto.
The number of abortions in Bharat is appauling. Our scriptures take a very
harsh stand against abortion , and list it as one of the 'sapta mahaa-paapaas.'
This issue is often swept under the rug because of its controversial nature,
and many people argue that abortion is a necessary evil in Bharat, due to
the population size.
There must be a better way. I hope that BJP and the women representing it
can come up with one.
