Request Information About Advaita Vedanta/Yoga Synthesis
Hello, I have followed this newsgroup for some time, and I enjoy it.
My request is actually a question:
I live in San Francisco, California in the United States. I am
wondering if anybody knows of organizations that teach Vedanta/Yoga
synthesis. I am somewhat familiar with the RamaKrisna order already.
I was a monk and preist in the Russian Orthodox Christian Church
until 3 years ago. Since that time I have spent many hours in study
of the Vedas, and Yoga Traditions. Personally I have an inclination
towards seeing Lord Siva as being manifest with attributes, and as the
Impersonal Brahman. I would like to "dive deeper" into "the pool", if
you'll forgive the expressions, only I am very weary of pseudoeastern
religious groups, but not of the real thing. In Los angeles, there
was the Hindu Temple Society and some other small but reputable Hindu
representatives, but so far I've not been able to find one in San
Francisco, CA.
