Yes, the God Ganapati has the rat for its vehicle. He is the son of Shiva and
Parvati, and bears the head of an elephant.
If you are interested, the following are other animals assoiciated with other
Gods:
Garuda (Eagle) ----> Vishnu
Nandi (Bull) -----> Shiva
Lions ----> Durga Maa
Tigers -----> Amba Maa
Hen ----> Baunchra Maa
Crocodile -----> Ganga Maa
Monkey -----> Hanuman
Dog ----> Bhairava (an attendant of Shiva)
Snakes ----> Shiva
Shesh Nag (the chief of snakes) ----> Vishnu
Cows ----> Krishna
Elephants ----> Ganesh (chief of the Ganas, attendants of Shiva)
