Hi All,
Apologies if you get this twice I'm having problems cross posting.
I understand that the term "avatar" used in virtual worlds to mean the representation of yourself
in the world comes from Hinduism where it means the form a god takes on Earth. So, for example,
Krishna was Vishnu's avatar - I think.
What I'm after is the backwards part of the relationship. Is there a word for this. So just as you
might say "Mike's avatar is the Silver Surfer" I'd like to say "The Silver Surfer's X is Mike".
What's X?

PS Sorry if the Krishna example is wrong. If it is do tell me real examples from Hinduism but
that's not my main question.
