I have a question about this post -
Given that it has been said that SRH strives to be a family-oriented
newsgroup where even kids can feel safe to read, what is the policy
regarding the advertizing of psychedelic drugs?
I know that the moderator has said that certain topics cannot be
discussed here, but it seems to me that allowing posts which encourage
people to go out and try various brain-altering drugs is a bit more
serious than the occassional use of a term describing a part of the
anatomy.
In fact, novice psychedelic mushroom hunters often get hurt or die in
the process of trying to get high, since poisonous and mind-altering
mushrooms can be found in the same places. This post seems designed to
appeal to novices, so the danger is particularly large. Should we (as
a group) be encouraging people to tempt Hindu youth into going out
into fields and potentially killing themselves looking for a cheap
high? So, could someone suggest what should be the policy with
respect to articles which advertise drug use to a young audience?
