Re: SRH Reorg FAQ

In view of the fact that not all the proponents of the vaishnava
newsgroup are involved in the current SRH reorganization proposal,
I suggest that the above sentence be appropriately modified
forthwith.
I was one of the proponents of the soc.religion.vaishnava newsgroup
and I have no quarrels with Sri Ajay Shah. He may continue to
remain as the moderator of SRH as long as he cares, and keep the
newsgroup SRH in its current format as long as he cares.

* E.g., there is no provision for removal of SRV software of hardware

* etc. etc. etc.
I have already clarified several of these points in an earlier
posting made to news.groups as well as soc.religion.hindu.
However it appears to have fallen in the deaf ears. Since the
current reorganization issue has taken severe political
overtones, I do not wish to take part in this on behalf of
either side. I do however want to stress that
(a) there is no direct comparison between the software moderated
newsgroup and human moderated newsgroup; and
(b) the moderation policies detailed in new proposals are likely
to incorporate better checks and controls as opposed to older
newsgroup proposals due to more feedback coming in during
discussions in news.groups.
