This is, as others would put it, equivalent to how one feels toward
the Menendez brothers; one doesn't pity the fact that they're orphans,
largely because they had something to do with the situation.
Similarly, it was the _current_ moderator of SRH who wanted the SRH reorg
discussion on SRH itself; the proponents originally were happy to redirect
followups to news.groups and only news.gorups, where such are appropriate.
