It rather saddens me to see this group, normally devoted to matters in
which I have a deep interest (although very quietly, and with little
claim of understanding), completely swamped by a heated, not to say
unpleasant, discussion of organization matters.

The standard procedure is to conduct RFD discussions on news.groups.
