INFO : Primer On Eastern Philosophy Event In San Diego

Earth Dancer Books in conjunction with Mick proudly present:
A Primer On Eastern Philosophy
Saturday August 3, 1996, 5:30 p.m.
at Earth Dancer Books
1347 Tavern Road Suite 15
Alpine, California 91901
This class is tentatively scheduled to repeat every Saturday in
August (The 10th, 17th, 24th and the 31st) at the same time.
This class will run approximately two hours and will cover the
following topics, in general:
- The root beliefs and practices of the Eastern group of philosophies
- Common observations of phenomenon found in all philosophies.
- Secret practices which will enable any practioner to advance
in his or her respective practice (mantra, yantra, release, ect)
- The concept of holistic medicine.
- use of crystals in meditative practice.
- Sacred texts of the Eastern philosophies including:
Bhagavad Gita
Dhammapada
Tao Te Ching
Upanisads
Sutras of Patanjali
I-Ching
- A comparison of the main Eastern philosophies including:
Hinduism
Hari Krishna
Buddhism
Taoism
Vedanta
Yoga
Seikism
Samkhya
The cost of the class is $15 per person. Two people may sign up at
the same time, for the same class, for $20.
Earth Dancer books is located at 1347 Tavern Road, suite 15 in Alpine, Ca.
Directions:
North: From Los Angeles take I-5 south to I-8 east. Exit at
Alpine/Tavern Rd and turn right (South). Drive 1/2 block past stop
light (Alpine Blvd) and turn right into Alpine Creek shopping center.
Earth Dancer is located in the middle of the South (right) wing of the
shopping mall.
South: From the San Ysidro port of entry take I-5 North to I-8 east.
Follow the 'North' directions from I-8 east.
East: From Yuma take I-8 west to the Alpine/Tavern Road exit. Exit
Alpine/Tavern Rd and turn left (South). Drive 1/2 block past stop
light (Alpine Blvd) and turn right into Alpine Creek shoping center.
Earth Dancer is loceted in the middle of the South (right) wing of
the shopping mall.
West: Follow the North directions from I-8 east.
