This is reply to the debate "are vaishnavs hindu?"
I dont really understand the need for the debate. The name HINDUISM
comes from foreigners and therefore does not mean a thing. The sanathana dharma
actually comprises of various religious practices in India united under one umbrella.
If anyone prefers they could even add Islam and Christianity into it. There will not be any
objections.
On the question as to whether the Vaishnavs are hindu, I can only say "does it really matter?"
As far as Sanathana Dharma is concerned it is part and accepted within the religion just the same as
buddhism. Let the Vaishnavs claim they are are not hindus, it would not really matter. Anyway,
they were foreigners to the Indus Valley Civilisation. At least, we the saivasbe proud that they can be
one and accept anyone, as it has always been from the ancient days.
