Re: Hindu Holy SItes
In response to a recent article on Holy sites, here are
several favorate Piligrimage places:
1. Tirumala (Tirupathi) in the state of A.P.: Lord Venkateswara
2. Bhadrinath in U.P. at the foot steps of Himalyas: Lord Narayana
This temple is situated on the bank of river Alaknanda
3. Puri in Orissa: Lord Jagannatha
4. Srirangam (Tiruchi) in Tamilnadu: Lord Ranganayaka Swamy
5. Kanchipuram in Tamilnadu: Lord Varada-Raja Swamy and Lord Thrivikrama
6. Gaya in Bihar: Vishnupada Temple
7. Simhachalam near Vishakapatnam in A.P.: Lord Narasimha Swamy
8. Ahobhilam in Kadapa district, A.P.: Lord Narasimha Swamy (Nine or Nava
Narasimha Swamy temples)
I am sure there are a hundred other holy places, I have picked only a
few. Perhaps, we need to compose a list of the holy places and directions
to get there.
