Interesting web site update.
Announcing a major revision of the web site "Serendipity"
at http://serendipity.magnet.ch (that's a "ch" not a "com").
This is a large and eclectic personal web site with over
1.7 MB of data - something for everyone (well, almost).
The main sections are:
*** Calendar Studies ***
Articles on the Gregorian and Julian calendars, the ISO
date format, the Julian day number system, the Maya
calendar, the Goddess lunar calendar and C functions for
date conversion; plus software for calendrical conversion.
*** Psychedelic Tryptamines ***
Articles on psychedelic mushrooms and DMT; preservation of
dried psilocybin mushrooms; links to other documents
concerning psychedelic tryptamines.
*** Ganesh Baba ***
A memoir of Ganesh Baba, the psychedelic swami; links to
other Ganesh Baba material.
*** Maria Callas ***
Several web pages concerned with the great opera diva Maria
Callas, including biographies, discographies and links to
other Callas web pages.
*** On "Timewave Zero" ***
Remarks on the theory of Timewave Zero, Terence McKenna's
theory of time and history, by the author of the Timewave
Zero software.
*** "The Gods of Eden" ***
Documents relating to the thesis put forward by William
Bramley in his book "The Gods of Eden" that the basic cause
of war, genocide and conflict in history is not a
viciousness innate in the human species but rather is the
less-than-benevolent interference in human affairs by
extraterrestrials.
*** "On Liberty" ***
Concerning John Stuart Mill's essay "On Liberty", which
contains a rational justification of the liberty of the
individual in opposition to the claims of the state to
impose unrestricted control; other articles dealing with
liberty, freedom and democracy
*** Censorship in the U.S.A. ***
With particular reference to the Communications Decency Act
and other legislation proposed in the U.S.A. and in Australia.
There are also many interesting documents located on
Serendipity which are written by others, but in the
interest of brevity these are not listed here (you can
find them in the "Writings by Others" section).
Feel free to forward this announcement to anyone you think
may be interested. If you deem Serendipity to be worthy of
a wider readership, a link to it from your web site (if you
have one) would be greatly appreciated.
