Dear Sri Prabhu:
It becomes easier to reject the Aryan invasion theory or anything like
that once we recognize what it is that is at stake if we do not do anything.
If I may speculate on this, I would like to say that what is at stake is
our nationhood.
Unfortunately we have been ruled by the likes of Mr. McCulay, who put it
very bluntly, saying that they needed to change Indians into a nation
that was British in taste, but Indian in color. It worked to keep us
down for a long time. But we are not robots, our humanity, an above all,
Divine Will, is dictating that we resurge as Indians, therefore, we are
here today. We need to know the ways of the Western and the
western thinking Indian critics, and prepare for talking with them, on
fair terms. If even a little bit of what the sages tell us are to come
true at this time, we are destined to prevail. But prepare we must,
because when we take the stand, we will be held responsible for the honor
that we want our great nation to have, for all time to come.
