Dear Dhrubaji,

Perhaps you can recount for me. I don't recall saying anything that could
be construed as offensive. On the other hand, i distinctly recall you
trying to put words in my mouth, perhaps to silence me.

If your beliefs make you think it is uncivil to disagree, then i submit
that your beliefs are very questionable to say the least. I for one am not
interesting in reinforcing everyone's common knowledge by stating the fact
that there are many other views. I am more interested in determining what
is and is not correct. I guess you could say I am one of the fanatical ones
who actually believes in such a thing as correct, or absolute, knowledge.

In an attempt to bring this back to the original topic, I should point out
again that the Bhagavad-Giita is a lot more "exclusive" than you would like
to believe. Specifically, it does not sanction worship of other deities
(demigods) to achieve liberation. In fact, it quite clearly condemns it.
This only goes to show that the Giita cannot be used to define Hinduism.
You may say over and over again that you respect me but disagree... but you
have shown no conclusive evidence from the Giita on which to base your
views. Consequently, I can only conclude that your beliefs are not based on
this scripture, however much you may wish the contrary.

regards,
