Thanks for the excellent article and especially the stotram with the twelve
names. duurvaa leaves are especially special in gaNesha worship. Other special
things are bilva leaves and arka flowers. The smaarta pa.nchaayatana puuja
forbids usage of tulasi leaves for gaNesha. I am not sure if that is a general
rule though.
