Relgiously, Buddhism is/was a teaching by Siddhartha Gottama, an
incarnation of God. There are actually quite a few stories of poor
Bhramans and Vyadha saints, I suppose you haven't heard any of them.
Buddhists do believe in God, the just don't believe in God like any other
religion does.
Have you ever asked a Chinese Buddhist their opinion of Hinduism?
Or better yet, what the problems are/were with Hinduism? Saying Buddhism
started because Hinduism was a repressive religion is like saying Mohommad
spoke of the top of his head or the apostles got together to create the
Christianity.
I'm sorry, Buddhism is quite capable of standing on its own
without Hinduism.

Not to question your opinion, but what is your background in Hinduism? Do
you realize you just insulted the religion of over half the people in the
world?
